3L craziness

It's hard to believe that the end is almost here. In about 4.5 weeks I am going to graduate from law school, and a little over two months after that I take the bar. Yesterday I received a very real reminder of both of these facts: at school I was issued my graduation cap, gown, stoles, graduation invitations, and event tickets; when I got home from school, there was a 36 lb box of bar study books waiting on my doorstep.

I also took my last law school class on Tuesday. Between now and graduation I have a few more deadlines to hit (finish paper, make sure law review publication goes smoothly, select articles for next year's publication, write a trust for Estate Planning), but each of these is well on its way. SO close.

The past three years really have flown by. I honestly feel like I just started school... more on this later, I'm off to lunch!

Happy Birthday!

Hello! Today I am in San Diego, technically at the tail-end of my Spring Break, though I am attending a conference for editors of Law Reviews (four-day conference). Yay for "breaks"! I am writing a paper draft that is due on Monday, while my incoming Law Review counterpart is attending a series of panel presentations on how to be awesome at her job. My job is to answer her questions and complete her "training", which I mostly have done. Very successful vacation/conference.

Other than that, I am six weeks away from graduating and seventeen weeks away from the bar exam, both of which are exciting but also scary. I am definitely looking forward to the next step - I do always enjoy a good challenge. The next hurdle is to secure a post-graduation job... I actually just finished a series of interview steps with a law firm that HOPEFULLY will be giving me a job offer in the very near future! I will update on that as it happens.

Most important, however, is the real purpose of this post. Besides a very-overdue update, I wanted to write to wish my Lolo a very happy birthday!

Oh well

It turns out that being awesome in school is directly related to being terrible at posting on blogs. My schedule this semester is pretty fantastic, but I still have more work to do than ever. The good news is that I love each and every class I am in, and that I have NO finals this last semester! I've been working like a mad-woman on Law Review and am right on schedule (maybe only a week or two slow) for publication. I'm on track to publish all but the final issue, which will be mostly ready for next year's board to take over when I graduate. Whew!

I apologize for the lack of posts. Odds are I won't be that great keeping them up in the next few weeks either. The good news, though, is that I'm on track in classes and Law Review, which are my main priorities. I'll try to drop back in here and there, but no promises!
